Guided Discoveries is a California educational non-profit organization 501(C)(3). We provide hands-on experiential outdoor science programs for public and independent schools, as well as traditional summer camps, open to the public, for youth ages 8 to 17.
Schools may attend one of five programs: CIMI at Toyon Bay, CIMI at Fox Landing, CIMI at Cherry Cove, and AstroCamp in Idyllwild. Catalina Island Marine Institute's school program, also known as CIMI, is a marine biology and oceanography based program. AstroCamp's school program is astronomy and physical science based and operates at our campus in Idyllwild, California. Our summer programs are adventure oriented with hands-on science, adventure skills, arts and crafts and traditional summer camp fun. Our campuses are immersed in beautiful natural settings isolated from the city environment.
We have taught over 1,000,000 students since 1978 and currently serve over 48,000 students each year. The success of our programs is due to the quality of our staff. Over the years, many employees have left their mark upon our programs through ideas and insights that improved the quality of instruction, food, facilities, and administration.
If you can thrive in such an environment, we look forward to hearing from you.
